Robert’s experience includes working with individuals, couples, families and with whole workgroups in organisational settings.
His close relationships with other medical and psychological colleagues means that there is always easy access to specialist support when or if it is needed.
The approach to therapy is characterised by:
- Maintenance of a clear, specific treatment focus
- A conscious and conscientious use of time
- Limited goals with clearly defined outcomes
- An emphasis on intervening in the now
- Rapid assessment and integration of assessment within treatment
The emphasis in sessions is on your strengths, resources and ability to cope with and overcome difficulties rather than an extended discussion about your past.
Time is used flexibly between sessions to meet the demands of a situation, rather than assuming that you necessarily need or want weekly, one hour interviews.
Specific goals with clearly defined outcomes will be discussed from the outset.
